Architects von Gerkan, Marg and Partners (gmp) are a practice that originated in Germany, with head office in Hamburg, and are now internationally active with branches worldwide. With our generalist approach and experience gained over fifty years, we are active on all continents putting up buildings in dialogue with our clients and all stakeholders in the design process, at all scales, and in all cultural contexts ― from private residences to stadiums, from opera houses to museums, from offices to bridges, and from a door handle to an entire city.

We approach topical subjects such as urbanization, digitalization, renewal of existing buildings, and mobility on the basis of many years of experience. The conceptual content of our designs is focused on esthetic architectural durability. The quality of our buildings in terms of appropriate materials and climate-suitability ensures their sustainability, proven by ecological certificates. In addition, we strive to achieve public added value for the users in all our projects.
