哈德逊广场观景台 “Edge”2020年三月即将揭幕

Edge由KPF设计，是西半球最高的室外观景台，从哈德逊广场30号第100层的24米高度处悬挑而出。

Designed by KPF, Edge is the highest outdoor observation deck in the western hemisphere and cantilevers 80 feet from the 100^th floor of 30 Hudson Yards.

高度创纪录的Edge观景台离地面335米，位于哈德逊广场30号第100层，直插云霄。它将让人们欣赏到纽约街头长达80英里前所未有的的美景。无论是斜倚在城市上空倾斜的玻璃墙还是步入悬空玻璃地板，亦或是在100层到101层的室外空中阶梯上欣赏美景，游客都将体验到无比的刺激。

Piercing the sky at a soaring 100 floors from its record-setting height of 1,131 feet, Edge will reveal never-before-seen views of The City, Western New Jersey and New York State spanning up to 80 miles. Visitors will enjoy varying levels of thrill from leaning over the city up against the angled glass walls to stepping out onto the glass floor or taking in the view on the outdoor skyline steps from the 100th to 101st floor.

观景台的底部需要贴附三角形不锈钢面板，为了呈现多样生动的反射，设计师们从芬兰选择了一种浮雕感的“亚麻”纹理的不锈钢材料。对于高反射率的材料，表面细微的偏差都会很明显，设计团队在现场仔细地勘察每一片面板以确保它们的平直度以及统一性。

The underside of the observation deck is clad in triangular stainless steel panels. We selected a bright annealed stainless steel from Finland with an embossed “LINEN” finish for its vibrant and dynamic reflectivity. Even small deviations in the highly reflective material’s surface can be obvious, so we carefully reviewed each panel for flatness and consistency.

Edge观景台是现代工程和结构设计的奇迹，它由15个部分组成，每一个模块重达1.6至4.5万公斤。所有部分都采用螺栓连接，固定在建筑的东侧和南侧。每一个模块都在意大利的工厂里测试安装过以确保良好的吻合度，之后再将这些模块拆分运送到港口，跨越大西洋，最终到达目的地纽约。到达安装现场，模块会被小心翼翼的吊起并精确地固定，通过这种方式观景台的安装特别高效快速。

A marvel of modern engineering and structural design, the observation deck is comprised of 15 sections, all bolted together and anchored to the east and south sides of the building.  Each section was pre-assembled at the factory in Italy to ensure proper alignment and fit. Sections were then taken apart and moved to the port, ready to begin their long journey across the Atlantic and eventually to the New York City.

室外观景区面积为670平米，周围设置了79块德国生产的玻璃面板护墙，这些玻璃面板护墙是在意大利完成加工的。观景台内部由David Rockwell和Rockwell Group进行设计。

The 7,500-square-foot outdoor viewing area is surrounded by 79 glass panels manufactured in Germany and finished in Italy. Interiors of Edge are being designed by David Rockwell and Rockwell Group.
