Matadouro屠宰场曾经是波尔图东部地区最重要的经济和发展引擎之一,但在20世纪90年代后期停用。设计方案希望重塑并重新激活这个废弃多年的空间,以延续这座城市的历史和记忆。

The Old Industrial Slaughterhouse of Porto was once an economic and development source for the eastern part of City. With this proposal we intend to reactivate, reinvent, this space and continue this history and memory of the city.

方案在城市当前的“空白”区域,设计了一个具有调和能力的新空间,以新的活力整体提升波尔图城市中缺乏生机的片区。这里将会成为一个在文化、商业以及社会方面都富有吸引力的地带,依靠它规划的功能以及提供的公共空间,吸引人流并让城市持续保持勃勃生机。

A new conciliatory space is born in the city, framed in a current urban void, which with a new dynamic aims to enhance an entire area of the city of Porto in lethargy but which, in this way, will have an anchor place of cultural, business, and social attractiveness and that will keep the city breathing with its program and with the public spaces that it offers.

考虑到场地所处的地势比较低,该方案的重点是引入一座天桥建筑。天桥既可以跟地铁系统的上层建立连接,也能让这处空间更加显眼,让从VCI高速公路来的人更能看见这里。

The proposal is underlined by the need to introduce a bridge building to establish the connection to the upper level of the Metro, but also to create visibility for those who come from VCI, since the place is at a lower level.

 

与地铁建立连接,不仅让人们更加容易进入这片公共空间,还将惠及经由此地通往城市其他区域的周边居民,为他们提升通行便利程度。这样一来,这个地方就有了公共属性,得以融入到城市的整体结构当中。

By creating the link to the Metro, an opportunity for access is created not only for those who want to access the Slaughterhouse but also for those who live in the surroundings and seeks to connect with the rest of the city, thus gaining a public character, inserting it into the urban fabric.

从东边进入场地,需要通过一座天桥,这座天桥可以作为花园及观景台,让人们远眺整个项目以及城市的风貌。而场地的南面则有与街道相连的两个广场,能吸引路过的人和当地居民进入,促进互动交流。

Access is made then, on the one hand, to the east by a bridge building that serves as a garden and viewpoint for the whole project and city and, on the other hand, to the south by two squares that open onto Rua São Roque da Lameira, inviting access and interaction by those who pass and inhabit the place.

 

方案设计了一个大顶篷,它以一种巧妙的方式将新旧部分统一起来。这既体现了对历史遗产进行干预时应有的谨慎与敏锐,又在这样一个独特的整体中创造了统一性和辨识度。

We designed a large cover that, in a single gesture, unites the old and the new, with the care and sensitivity of those who intervenes in historical heritage but intending to create unity and identity in such a distinct whole.

顶篷在尺度上与相邻的大型基础设施形成呼应,并且通过材料的运用,与Campanhã区的房屋建立了微妙的对话关系。

This establishes a dialogue of scale with the large adjacent infrastructures and, in a subtle way, through the materials with the houses in the parish of Campanhã.

 

屋顶不仅起到了将整个建筑群统一起来的作用,还通过其富有动感的设计,凸显出项目中的核心部分,形成坐标点,为人们提供参照和引导。

The design of the roof not only unites the whole complex, but through its movement it underlines the essential parts of the program, serving as points of reference and guidance.

该设计将会给路过VCI高速公路的人,带来独特的视觉冲击,也让城市时时充满休闲“松弛感”。在凭借其功能内容激活此片区的同时,项目也为户外空间和社区创造一系列新机遇,为该片区带来其所期待的知名度和吸引力。此外,从长期来看,它也将为城市成功实现区域整合及社会融合打下良好的基础。

The proposal creates a unique visual impact for those who cross the VCI and allows with that the city gains elasticity and enjoyment for 365 days while activating the place with its program and also opening all a set of new opportunities for outdoor spaces and community. This guarantees the desired visibility and attraction to this area of the city that will be fundamental for the long-term success of the process of territorial consolidation and social inclusion.
