在课间十余分钟内,仅百米间距的教室与运动场,也会显得遥不可及。走出门,跑下楼,冗长的交通线不断压缩着课余时光。是否能造所学校,它可以回避这一使用痛点,拉近各个活动场所间的距离,在无界限的校园空间内,为孩童赋予更多游玩的可能性,尽情发挥他们的想象与创造力。

During the break of around ten minutes, the classrooms and the sports field, which are only a hundred meters apart, will also seem unreachable. Stepping out the door and running downstairs, the long traffic lines constantly compress the students’spare time. Is it possible to build a school that can avoid this pain point of use, narrow the distance between various activity venues, and provide children with more possibilities to play in the borderless campus space, fully unleashing their imagination and creativity.

 

上塘单元小学位于杭州市拱墅区,设计为36班小学,在这所学校中,教学楼与运动场通达无阻,实现无界的校园生活。项目场地与城市界面紧密相邻,在如此紧张的用地环境中,设计尝试集约、高效地利用土地与竖向空间,将多类公共空间层叠布置,为拉近教学空间与活动场所提供契机。几段联系运动场地的室外阶梯,为校园空间增添了一种立体而富有层次感的组织结构,与孩童成长相伴,互融互生。

The Primary School of Hangzhou Shangtang Unit is located in Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, and is designed to accommodate 36 classes. In this school, the teaching building and the sports field have unobstructed access, achieving borderless campus life. The project site is closely adjacent to the urban interface. In such a tense land environment, the design attempts to intensively and efficiently utilize the land and vertical space by arranging multiple types of public spaces in layers, providing an opportunity to bring the teaching space and activity venues closer together. Several outdoor stairs connecting the sports field add a three-dimensional and layered organizational structure to the campus space to accompany children's growth in a harmonious way.

无界对话

DIALOGUE WITHOUT BORDERS

在高密度的城市环境中,为实现校园内的无界对话,首要面临的挑战便是校园各类功能的集约化。考虑到周边环境要素配置,主教学区布置于场地最安静的西侧,食堂、体育馆与多功能报告厅等公共空间设于地下与架空层,为教学区提供充裕的活动空间。

In a highly dense urban environment, the primary challenge to achieve unbounded dialogue on campus is to intensify various functions of the campus. Considering the configuration of surrounding environmental elements, the main teaching area is located on the quietest west side of the site, while public spaces such as canteen, gymnasium, and multifunctional lecture hall are located underground or elevated, providing ample activity space for the teaching area.

借由丰富的底层空间,结合操场看台、下沉广场,形成架空平台,构成无界校园竖向空间中的活动层。同时,活动层串联各个建筑单体,连接教学区与运动场地,交织出校园的立体交通网络,成为公共活动的中枢纽带。活动层之上,由南向北依次布局行政区和教学区,形成分区明确、流线清晰的线性结构。不同功能层次相互叠合,在功能与形式间取得巧妙的平衡,拉近了教室与运动场、活动平台的距离,使平面空间上的无界交流成为可能。

By utilizing the rich underlying space, combined with the playground stands and sunken plazas, an elevated platform is formed to serve as the activity layer in the unbounded vertical space of the campus. At the same time, the activity layer connects various individual buildings in the teaching area with the sports field, which interweaves a three-dimensional transportation network of the campus, and becomes the central link of public activities. Above the activity layer, administrative and teaching areas are arranged in sequence from south to north, forming a linear structure with clear zoning and streamline. Different functional layers overlap with each other, achieving a clever balance between function and form, bringing the classroom closer to the sports field and the activity platform. This makes borderless communication in the flat space possible.

校园以层叠空间的模式,有效提升不同功能的使用效率。在此模式中,孩子们的课间活动范围不再局限于教室与走廊,活动平台和运动场地同样成为自由对话的场所。在满足功能的需求下,无界校园更富有趣味、活力与自由性,为释放孩子的天性,注入无限可能。

The campus adopts a layered spatial pattern to effectively improve the service efficiency of different functional areas. In this mode, children's break time activities are no longer limited to classrooms and corridors, and the activity platform and the sports field also become places for free dialogue. Under the premise of meeting functional requirements, borderless campuses are more interesting, energetic, and free, injecting infinite possibilities to unleash children's nature.

成长之阶

LADDER OF GROWTH

无界校园同时创造出多样化的空间类型,延续设计理念,几道室外阶梯将各层教室与运动场巧妙地联系在一起。阶梯以惹人注意的形式介入校园,不限于交通功能,也为孩童的活动范围赋予不同的互动场景,突破传统校园的界限。

The borderless campus creates a diverse range of space types while continuing the design concept. Several outdoor stairs cleverly connect classrooms on each floor with the sports field. Stairs intervene in the campus in an eye-catching form, which not only serve as passages for access, but also provide different interactive scenes for children in various activities, breaking through the boundaries of traditional campuses.

在校园内部,阶梯与空间布局相协调,形成围合、半围合的空间秩序。各单体建筑之间,也因阶梯的穿插串联更为紧密。阶梯、庭院与建筑,景观与空间相互交融,使校园的空间尺度亲切、氛围和谐。教室与运动场因阶梯实现行为上的联系性,也因阶梯产生形式的多样变化,搭建出活力的舞台,为校园植入活泼的多样元素。几道阶梯同样使校园空间更具有系统性和整体感,活动场所得到有效放大。

Within the campus, the stairs are well coordinated with the spatial layout, forming an enclosed or semi-enclosed spatial order. The individual buildings are also more closely connected due to the interweaving of stairs. The integration of stairs, courtyards, and architecture, landscape, and space creates a friendly spatial scale and harmonious atmosphere on the campus. The classrooms and the sports field are connected through stairs, and the diverse forms of stairs create a vibrant stage, injecting lively and diverse elements into the campus. Several stairs also make the campus space more systematic and cohesive, effectively enlarging the activity space.

成长之阶为无界校园赋予特有的过渡区域,课余时分,在教室、活动平台和运动场,孩子们可以在整个校园自由地活动。这些场景会成为校园生活的新日常,以亲切而又丰富的环境营造学生乐见的空间。在上塘小学,每个人都期待更多积极地改变,更多独特地对话。

The ladder of growth provides a unique transitional area for the borderless campus. In their spare time, children can freely move around the entire campus, the classrooms, the activity platform, and the sports field. These scenes will become a new daily life on campus, creating a space that students enjoy with a friendly and rich environment. At the school, everyone expects more positive changes and more unique dialogues.

结语

SUMMARY

 

高密度的城市环境,教育建筑的功能复合,在各类条件的限制下,杭州市上塘单元小学不断突破固有的边界。以校园生活的无界交流为实现目标,设计为校园空间呈现一种不同以往的热情与温度,同时延伸校园空间的内涵。奔跑的孩童,渗透于各个角落的生机,让校园真正转变为成长路上的阶梯。

In a highly dense urban environment where various functions of teaching buildings need to be integrated under various limitations, The Primary School of Hangzhou Shangtang Unit have continuously broken through the inherent boundaries. The goal is to achieve borderless communication in campus life, and to design a campus space that presents a different ambience from the past, while extending the connotation of the campus space. Running children, as well as the vitality permeated in every corner, truly transform the campus into a ladder of growth.
