This project transcends the challenges of constructing a new railway station. Conceived as a monumental bridge spanning the tracks, it has ignited a profound transformation in its surrounding areas. The station’s Gallery stands as a connector, uniting the historic heart of the city to the south and the emerging Grand Pres district to the north. On both sides of the station, underground parking facilities for cars and bicycles are seamlessly integrated, alongside expansive city squares that enhance the urban landscape.




车站 The Station
蒙斯火车站位于巴黎–布鲁塞尔国际线路上,是比利时规模较大的火车站之一,同时也是本地及区域公交系统的重要枢纽。
Located along the international Paris-Brussels line, Gare de Mons is one of the larger train stations in Belgium and a major hub for local and regional bus transportation.
车站设有长达350米的站台、7条客运轨道、29个公交站点,以及出租车停靠点和“即停即走”区域,所有设施均被屋顶覆盖。
The station features 350m-long platforms, 7 passenger tracks, 29 bus stops, taxi stands and "kiss and ride" stops, all fully covered beneath its roofs.


贯穿车站的廊厅长165米、高15米,无疑是整个项目的核心。其设计呈现出有节奏的倾斜三角形钢桁架序列,并结合以木构框架支撑的弧形玻璃立面,辅以比利时蓝石灰岩地面,共同营造出一种亲切而富有吸引力的空间氛围。
Spanning 165m in length and 15 m high, the Gallery is undoubtedly the centrepiece of the station. Its design showcases a rhythmic sequence of inclined triangular steel trusses and curved glass facades framed in wood, complemented by Belgian blue limestone flooring. The pairing creates an inviting and intimate setting.





宽敞且采光良好的廊厅通过楼梯、自动扶梯及大型电梯(每个站台配备两部)实现对所有站台的无缝连接。空间内设有多种零售服务,以满足乘客的需求与舒适体验,同时还设有由SNCB与TEC(公共巴士运营商)共同运营的综合出行服务中心。
The spacious, well-lit Gallery offers seamless access to all platforms via stairs, escalators and large elevators (two per platform). It features a variety of retail services designed to meet the needs and comfort of passengers, along with a combined travel centre, jointly operated by the SNCB and the TEC (public bus operator).




廊厅在设计上回应了布鲁塞尔“女王长廊”的历史遗产,旨在将现代交通与文化及商业活力相融合,打造一个富有活力的公共交汇点,同时致敬国家深厚的历史遗产。
The Gallery nods to the legacy of the Galerie de la Reine in Brussels, aiming to blend modern transport with cultural and commercial vitality, creating a dynamic meeting point that honors the country’s rich heritage.


中央廊厅为全封闭并具备保温性能,在寒冷季节可保持舒适温度;屋顶顶端设置可开启的天窗,在夏季实现自然通风。
The central Gallery is fully enclosed and insulated, ensuring a comfortable temperature during the colder months. The skylight at the apex of the roof is operable and allows for natural ventilation in summer.




城市空间与景观 Urban space and Landscaping
在改造前,位于车站与老城之间的利奥波德广场主要由交叉道路和公交枢纽占据。随着交通系统的重新组织,该广场转变为步行空间,成为承载各类公共活动的活力场所。如今,从蒙斯市中心可直接步行抵达车站,无需再穿越任何道路。
Prior to the intervention, Place Leopold —located between the station and the old town—was dominated by intersecting roads and a bus station. With the reorganisation of the traffic, Place Leopold is transformed into a pedestrian zone, serving as a vibrant space for various public events. The station is now easily accessible from the heart of Mons, with no need to cross any streets.


在北侧,绿意环绕的大会广场构成了正在发展的Grand Prés片区的核心骨架。SNCB已开始清理周边区域,以推动铁轨另一侧的进一步城市开发。
To the north, the Place de Congrès —a spacious square marked by its greenery—forms the backbone of the developing Grand Prés district. The SNCB has already begun clearing up neighbouring areas to enable further urban development on the far side of the tracks.

地下停车与办公空间 Underground Parking and office space
停车空间经过精心设计,通过高质量照明与优化布局,确保交通流线顺畅、长期使用的功能性与安全性。同时,这些空间也融入了细致的设计元素,使其在视觉上同样舒适宜人。
The parking spaces have been carefully designed, incorporating high-quality lighting and optimized layouts to ensure smooth traffic flow, long-term functionality and safety. Beyond function, they incorporate thoughtful design elements, ensuring they’re both pleasant and visually engaging.
南停车场位于公交枢纽下方,可直接通达铁路车站及城市区域,提供近500个汽车泊位,并在车站附近设置有遮蔽且安全的自行车停车设施。
The South Parking is situated beneath the bus station, offering direct access to both the railway station and the city. It provides close to 500 car parking spaces along with sheltered and secured bike parking near the station.

停车场相邻区域还设置了一系列员工配套空间,包括后勤区域、培训室与休息室,这些空间围绕若干小型庭院布置。
Adjacent to the parking, a series of staff facilities, including back-of-house spaces, training rooms and break rooms are grouped in between small courtyards.
北停车场与车站的垂直交通系统相连接,并且向东偏移,邻近蒙斯展览中心与会议中心,可容纳超过350辆汽车,并设有一个200个泊位的自行车停车区。西侧则沿下沉庭院布置了SNCB的固定及灵活办公空间,并配套设置了一处约400平方米的托育设施。
The North Parking is linked to the vertical transportation of the station and is offset to the east— near the Mons Exhibition Centre and the Congress Centre. It accommodates over 350 cars and a 200-unit bike parking facility adjacent to the station. To the west, permanent and flexible SNCB office spaces are aligned along a lowered courtyard. The configuration is complemented by a 400m2 unit for a childcare facility.


无障碍设计 Accessibility

The project and its surroundings have been designed to ensure independent travel for all passengers, making the station fully accessible to both able-bodied and disabled individuals.
车站共设有12部电梯,连接廊厅、站台及停车层。抬高的站台实现无障碍上下车。先进的音频系统可进行广播与语音警报,具有对比度的触觉铺装则为视障人士在广场及车站内部提供清晰的导向。
The station is equipped with 12 elevators that provide access to the Gallery, platform and parking levels. Raised platforms enable barrier-free boarding of the trains. A state-of-the-art audio system broadcasts public addresses and voice alarms. Contrasting tactile paving guide the visually impaired across the squares and throughout the station.
车站两侧均设有缓坡自行车坡道,便于进入有顶的自行车停车区域,所有电梯均可容纳自行车。
Dedicated, gently sloped bike ramps provide easy access to the covered bike parking facilities on both sides of the station. All elevators are spacious enough to accommodate bicycles.
