Position 01

Junior Business Development

OMA’s Hong Kong office is looking for a Junior Business Developer to join the Business Development team as soon as possible. The team is responsible for actively developing, acquiring and assessing potential projects, conducting market research and following up on market opportunities in Asia.

The ideal candidate shall be equipped with knowledge of architectural design processes, scoping of work, consultant selection and contracting, financial submission and managing client and consultant contracts.

In this position, you will be responsible for following up on potential projects lead and setting up pro-actively BD strategy. It includes market research, managing opportunity enquiry and follow through, creating frequent project updates, pre-screen potential projects and competitions, contract negotiation, contract management, maintain and manage client/consultant business relationships.

You will work as part of an efficient Office Support team with a legal specialist, BD and PR manager and translator in direct collaboration with the leading OMA partner.

Requirements

1. MA Degree (preferably educated in English) in Architecture, Real Estate and Marketing or equivalent.

2. Minimum 1 year experience as a BD professional in creative industry, real estate, or project development, preferably in the Asian market.

3. Experience with negotiating contractual arrangements, preferably in China.

4. Experience in responding to Requests for Qualification/Proposal, Requests for Information and client proposals.

5. Experience/capability with the management of multiple assignments/deadlines.

6. Proven capability to build and maintain client relationships.

7. Skilled in InDesign, PowerPoint, MS Word, Excel, Photoshop.

8. Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (native Mandarin speaker would be preferred, any other Asian language is an asset).

9. Hands-on approach, self-disciplined and proactive.

10. Confidence in working in a complex and international environment.

11. Understanding of architecture and master planning and/or the art & design world is recommended.

12. Immediate availability is preferred.

Position 02

Junior Architect

OMA's Hong Kong office is hiring Junior Architects. Starting date as soon as possible and during the course of summer.

The Junior Architect will work (in the office) as a team member on projects in all design phases and will design drawing plans, create renderings, build presentation and working models. The selected candidate will report directly to the Project Leader or Associate of the current project and ultimately to the Partner in charge of the project.

Requirements

1. Master degree in Architecture, Master planning, Design or relevant field.

2. 2-4 years’ experience in international renowned architecture or design offices.

3. Strong conceptual, graphic and design talent.

4. Practical experience in early design phases such as conceptual and schematic design.

5. Strong AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino, Adobe Suite skills.

6. Knowledge of Revit will be an asset.

7. Experience on large scale projects.

8. Fluency in English, another Asian language is an asset.

9. Confidence in working in a complex and international environment.

10. Knowledge of OMA’s work.

Position 03

Internship Architecture

OMA's Hong Kong office is looking for architectural interns to join our design team.

As an architectural intern you will be working on various projects within a team, being trained and mentored by experienced architectural professionals.

If you are currently studying architecture or a recent graduate, who is interested in testing your limits in a fast-paced and competitive working environment, please apply.

Requirements

1. Currently studying or finishing a diploma in Architecture or other relevant courses.

2. Strong graphic and design talent.

3. Strong rendering skills and familiarity with Rhino.

4. Excellent command of Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD.

5. Excellent craft and model-making skills.

6. Knowledge of Revit is a definite plus.

7. Fluency in written and spoken English (any other language is an asset).

8. Continuous availability of 6 months is a must.

9. Candidates must feel confident in a complex, dynamic environment.

Successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend. The selecting progress starts spontaneously, and the selected candidates are expected to start in August/September 2021.
