项目背景

Project Background

得天独厚的亚热带气候赋予杭州这座城市四季各异的自然美景，自古以来，这里的人就懂得与自然的和谐相处之道，善于发现自然之美，并将对自然的感悟转化为文化艺术创造。西湖以及围绕着水逐步形成的城市便是这种自然哲学的体现，为后世的人居环境建设提供了一个范本。

Blessed with a subtropical climate, Hangzhou offers distinct natural beauty each season. Locals have long grasped the ways of nature. They possess a keen sense of perception for nature's beauty and infuse their insights into cultural and artistic works. The West Lake and the surrounding city embody this natural philosophy, setting an example for future human settlements.

新时代下的智慧科技沿着水脉演进，西湖—西溪湿地—南湖—青山湖依次向西，多个科技节点链接成的科创走廊，将成为影响杭州乃至中国的创新极核。

Beyond cultural heritage, technology thrives along Hangzhou's waterways. From West Lake to Xixi Wetland, Nanhu Lake, and Qingshan Lake, a westward chain of tech hubs forms an innovation corridor, shaping a pivotal force for Hangzhou and beyond, driving China's future.

南湖水域面积4.7平方公里，林地、灌木林、湿地和岛屿为各种鸟类创造了多样化的栖息地，使其成为东亚- 澳大利亚航线的重要中途停留地，也是杭州观鸟爱好者的天堂。

Nanhu Lake (South Lake), with a water area of 4.7 km², has woodlands, shrublands, wetlands and islands that create diverse habitats for various bird species. This makes it a crucial stopover site along the East Asian - Australasian Flyway, and a paradise for bird - watching enthusiasts in Hangzhou.

阿里巴巴南湖未来科学园位于南湖西岸，山水之间。作为该科技片区的首发项目，将服务于阿里巴巴达摩院的科学家、研发团队以及生态圈合作伙伴。专注于面向未来的科技研发。他们每日在园区停留时间相当可观，园区是否可以提供身心能量的修复，直接影响科研人员的创造力和幸福感。

Hangzhou Alibaba Nanhu Future Science Park, located between the hills and waters on West South Lake, is the inaugural project of this tech zone. It serves scientists, R&D teams from Alibaba Damo Academy, and ecosystem partners, dedicated to future-oriented tech R&D. As researchers spend significant time here daily, the park's ability to restore physical and mental energy directly impacts their creativity and well-being.

项目总占地22.8公顷，景观面积15.7公顷，树叶形状的空间结构形成建筑和景观互为图底的拓扑关系，为建筑创造最优的景观视线联系，也为内外景观的渗透带来先天优势。景观设计从景观视线通廊控制、栖息地营造、慢行系统连接等多个设计策略将园区内部的景观和外部的生态廊道联系起来，使场地同山水空间有机的生长在一起。

Spanning 22.8 hectares (15.7 hectares of landscape), the leaf-like spatial structure creates a topological relationship between architecture and landscape, optimizing visual connections and enhancing the seamless integration of internal and external landscapes. Link the park's internal landscape to external ecological corridors through sightlines, slow routes, and habitats, organically merging the site with its natural landscape.

文化叙事

Cultural Narrative

在建筑规划阶段便融入东方哲思，设定了达摩道、达摩环、达摩廊的空间叙事结构，及“悟道之树”这一强精神属性的文化叙事节点，留下丰富的语义发挥空间。景观叙事在达摩道集中展开，表达人类对高维智慧从探寻到了悟的四种境界。

Eastern philosophy was integrated from the architectural planning stage, establishing the spatial narrative structure of the Dharma Way, Dharma Ring, and Dharma Arcade, as well as the culturally significant narrative node of the Tree of Enlightenment with strong spiritual attributes, leaving ample room for semantic interpretation. The landscape narrative unfolds along the Dharma Way, expressing humanity's journey towards transcendental wisdom through four cognitive planes of awakening.

基于空间特质（桥、大台阶、圆形中庭）进行延展，借助自然元素（池杉林、水墙、倒影池、睡莲）营造空间氛围，并通过强烈语义符号点题：松果雕塑—果壳宇宙，罗汉松—智者，如是观圆环—万物生生不息。令人心领神会，留有想象空间。

It extends based on Site-specific elements (bridge, grand stairs, circular atrium), uses natural metaphors (pond cypress grove, water wall, reflecting pools, water lily) to create spatial ambiance, and emphasizes the theme through strong symbolic signifiers: the Pinecone Sculpture represents the The Universe in a Nutshell, the Podocarpus Tree symbolizes the Sage, and the Suchness Circle signifies the cycle of life. The philosophy invites contemplation and resonates deeply while leaving room for imagination.

寻源：溪流上的思想微光

Pursuit of Origin : A Glimmer of Thought over the Stream

自西进入园区，经由寻问桥跨越铜山溪到达，这渐行渐近的抵达，恰似真理始于探问，带着求索的发心，徐徐踏上悟道之旅。

Entering the campus from the west, one arrives by crossing Tongshan Creek via the Bridge of Xunwen. This gradual approach resembles the pursuit of truth beginning with inquiry, embarking slowly on the path to enlightenment with a mind intent on seeking.

见山：无限可能的微观宇宙

Veiled Summit: The Microcosm of Infinite Possibilities

进入洒满池杉树影的园区，是可以远眺群山日落的果壳剧场，构思来自“果壳里的宇宙”，并以松果雕塑点题，果壳符号在不同文化中都是“有限中蕴含无限，微观中可见宏观”的象征。松果雕塑由回收金属制成，体现可持续理念，传递自然与艺术的融合，隐喻人类在有限物理空间中追求精神自由的永恒主题。

Entering the park dappled with pond cypress shadows, one finds the Nutshell Theater, which offers views of the distant mountains and sunset. The concept draws from the Universe in a Nutshell, highlighted by a pinecone sculpture. The nutshell symbol across cultures represents "the infinite contained within the finite, the macrocosm visible in the microcosm". The pinecone sculpture, made from recycled metal, reflects sustainable principles, conveys the integration of nature and art, and metaphorically represents humanity's eternal pursuit of spiritual freedom within limited physical space.

将建筑大台阶转化成观众席，形成融合自然、艺术与社区互动的户外剧场，通过视线通廊将远山景色引入剧场，形成自然与人文的对话，呼应“果壳”内外空间的连接与无限延伸。观众置身其中，既是观演者，也是自然剧场的一部分。

The architectural grand staircase is transformed into seating, creating an outdoor theater that integrates nature, art, and community interaction. View corridors draw the distant mountain scenery into the theater, fostering a dialogue between nature and culture, echoing the connection and infinite extension between the inside and outside of the Nutshell. The audience within is both spectator and part of the natural amphitheater.

沿达摩道行进，上下错层的植物群落变化，让人体悟四相之美。

Progressing along the Dharma Way, the changing, staggered levels of plant clusters allow one to appreciate the beauty of the four seasons.

观衍：悟道之树

Silent Deduction: The Tree of Enlightenment

借鉴禅宗园林的极简主义与克制美学，将水、石、松三元自然要素极致抽象化并消解物质性，触发使用者形而上的冥思。

Drawing inspiration from the minimalism and restraint of Zen gardens, the three natural elements of water, stone, and pine are maximally abstracted and dematerialized to evoke metaphysical contemplation among users.

以罗汉松作为觉悟者的象征，译名为“博大智慧的觉者”，松—石画面投射了智者和问道者的禅机对答，罗汉松巨大的云片向石头一侧微探，如智者的慈悲目光，照护众生。树下块石谦虚低伏，象征向智者请教的求道之人，两者形成对话。

The Podocarpus (Podocarpus macrophyllus (Thunb.) D. Don) serves as a symbol of the enlightened one, its translated name meaning "the awakened one with vast wisdom." The Pine&Stone composition projects a Zen dialogue between the sage and the seeker. The podocarpus' massive cloud-form canopy leans subtly toward the stone, its compassionate gaze metaphorically enveloping all beings. The humble stone lying low beneath the tree symbolizes the seeker asking the sage for guidance, creating a dialogue between the two.

重复出现的圆形母题强化空间的向心感和精神性，在中国文化中是天和宇宙的象征，庭院的圆形开口也吸引人的目光随着悟道树层层的云片延伸至天阔，弧形座凳立面粗粝，抛光处理的顶面增加了庭院的光线趣味。

The recurring circular motif enhances the spatial sense of centripetality and spirituality. In Chinese culture, the circle symbolizes heaven and the cosmos. The circular opening of the courtyard also draws the eye upwards, following the cloud-form canopy of the Tree of Enlightenment towards the vast sky. The curved bench has a rough-hewn vertical surface, while its polished top adds play of light to the courtyard.

镜面水池倒影悟道之树，强化其象征含义和符号性，也令俯瞰视线更加动人，宁静水面隐喻智者禅修心如止水的状态，如镜映物，不留痕迹。

The mirror pool reflects the Tree of Enlightenment, reinforcing its symbolic meaning and iconic status, also making the aerial view more captivating. The tranquil water surface metaphorically represents the sage's meditative state of mind – still like water, reflecting things like a mirror without retaining traces.

水幕不希望太过于喧闹，经过多次测试，黑色花岗岩表面通过特殊的酸洗工艺产生微小的岩层节理，使得水流过表面形成微妙波光和褶皱，潺潺水声提供了恰到好处的白噪音，舒缓杂乱的心绪。

The water curtain was not intended to be too noisy. After multiple setting tests, the black granite acid-washed surface creates tiny rock-like undulations that guide water films into subtle ripples, producing gentle acoustics. The murmuring sound provides just the right amount of white noise, easing mental distractions.

弧形水幕墙藏起部分柱子，为圆形提供了方向性，为松石画面确立了深邃的背景，屏蔽周围人流动线，将整个圆形氛围126°的背景区域，和234°的观赏区域，为对观确立了最佳的视野。使原本动线交织的中庭转变成安静的冥想空间。

The curved water curtain wall hides some columns, provides directionality for the circle, establishes a profound background for the pine & stone picture, and shields the surrounding pedestrian flow. It divides the circular atmosphere into a 126-degree background area and a 234-degree viewing area, establishing the optimal viewing angle. This transforms the originally circulation-heavy courtyard into a quiet meditation space.

半透明U型玻璃屏风呼应圆形母题，将人流动线屏蔽在冥想空间之外，带来古典纸质窗扇的质地，柔和过滤和反射日光，营造出纯净神圣的光线氛围。树的影子投在屏风上，好似宣纸上的水墨画。悟道之树、水中倒影、屏风上的剪影，以不同的影像方式强调了主体的文化符号意义，丰富了审美的意境。

The semi-transparent U-shaped glass screen echoes the circular motif, shields pedestrian flow from the meditation space, imparts the texture of classical paper windows, softly filters and reflects sunlight, creating a pure and sacred light atmosphere. The tree's shadow cast on the screen resembles ink wash painting on Xuan paper. The Tree of Enlightenment, its reflection in the water, and its silhouette on the screen emphasize the cultural symbolism of the subject through different imagery, enriching the aesthetic artistic conception.

坐忘：修复能量的生态之歌

Serene Oneness : The Ecological Song of Energy Restoration

云湖回收场地雨水，修复了总蓄水量约2000立方米，调蓄水量465立方米湿地生态系统，大大增加气候韧性，丰富的生境为办公人员提供教育性和互动性的亲自然体验。

Cloud Lake collects and reuses site stormwater, restoring a wetland ecosystem with a total storage capacity of approximately 2,000 m³ and a detention volume of 465 m³, significantly increasing climate resilience. The rich habitats provide office workers with educational and interactive biophilic experiences.

云湖也成为园区文化场所，可以静思、冥想，也可以作为水上演出和庆典的空间。

Cloud Lake also serves as a cultural venue within the park, suitable for quiet contemplation, meditation, as well as water-based performances and celebrations.

“地、水、火、风”，作为古代哲学与宇宙观体系的基础概念在广场上加以呈现，既象征着自然界固有的秩序，又阐释了能量的循环、守恒与转化。在气候临界点迫在眉睫的当下，这一元素范式中注重平衡的智慧，为重新定义人类的生态伦理提供了重要指引。

The fundamental concepts of "Earth, Water, Fire, Wind" from ancient philosophical and cosmological systems are represented in the plaza. They symbolize nature’s inherent order while illustrating energy circulation, conservation, and transformation. In an era of impending climate thresholds, the balance-oriented wisdom of this elemental paradigm provides vital guidance for redefining humanity’s ecological morality.

达摩环：多元复现的地方自然之美

Dharma Ring: Diversely Recurring Local Natural Beauty

达摩环围合了整个园区的主广场，这里是园区重要的公共空间，需满足多种活动场景的变化需求。

The Dharma Ring encloses the main plaza of the entire park. This is a crucial public space that needs to accommodate various activity scenarios.

通过树岛界定出外围的散步环线和中央的弹性场地，并为建筑环廊提供连贯的优美窗景。模拟自然山林地形，通过巧妙的竖向设计将原本统一标高的广场，划分成四个有机边界的和缓台地，形成由高到低的观众区，更利于集会场景下的观演视线，弱化大面积铺装的枯燥感，整个空间简洁又充满变化，以最大的弹性应对日常和节庆场景切换。

Tree islands define an outer promenade loop and a central flexible area, while providing coherent, beautiful views for the building's arcade. Simulating natural mountain terrain, clever vertical design divides the originally uniformly leveled plaza into four gently sloping terraces with organic boundaries, creating audience areas from high to low, which is more conducive for viewing during gatherings. This weakens the monotony of large paved areas. The entire space is simple yet full of variation, offering maximum flexibility to switch between daily and festive scenarios.

以传统叠石工法建造的自由曲线石岛，自由流动，唤起了身临其境的山林体验。拟自然式的群落种植增加山林气息，增加自然属性和东方意境。

Freely curving stone islands built using traditional rockery techniques flow freely, evoking an immersive mountain forest experience. Naturalistic planting enhances the mountain forest atmosphere, adding natural qualities and Eastern artistic conception.

在最佳观景位置设置趣味化的户外家具，促进自然沉浸体验和社区交往。

Creative and engaging outdoor furniture are installed at prime visual nodes to foster immersive nature experiences and community social interactions.

流线型水景小岛艺术化再现杭州“九溪十八涧”自然景观，加入岩石、枫树等自然元素，不同状态的跌级水景有利于人解压和夏季降温，给广场带来欢快气氛。

Streamlined water feature islands artistically recreate the natural landscape of Hangzhou's Jiuxi Shibajian Scenic Area (Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies). Incorporating natural engagements like rocks and maple trees, the cascading water features in different states aid relaxation and summer cooling, bringing a dynamic atmosphere to the plaza.

园区道路实现机器人友好。使科技、自然、生活完美交融。

The campus roads are designed to be robot-friendly, achieving a seamless integration of technology, nature, and daily life.

达摩十园：便利可达的亲自然福利

10 Awareness Gardens: Accessible Biophilic Wellness

临近建筑的庭院被定义十座主题鲜明的觉知花园，通过四季流转的自然景致，实现从工作压力到自然疗愈的无缝转换。原生植物群落编织出动态变化的风景，以宋代“西湖十景”为灵感的诗化命名，将文化基因根植于场所精神中。这些动态演进的场所，融合了亲自然疗愈与文脉传承的双重价值。

The courtyards adjacent to the buildings are defined as ten distinct themed Awareness Gardens with distinct seasonal motifs enabling seamless transitions from work stress to restorative immersion. Native plantings choreograph ever-changing vistas, while poetic names (inspired by Song Dynasty’s Ten Scenes of West Lake) root cultural identity into the landscape. These evolving spaces fuse biophilic healing with heritage continuity.

达摩十园—林境：穿梭于树林的木栈道给人林间漫步的静谧感，吧台座椅形成森林会议室，营造户外办公松弛感。

10 Awareness Gardens: Tranquil Umbrage.

The wooden boardwalk winding through the woods evokes a sense of tranquility for strolling amid the trees, while the bar-style seats form a "forest meeting room," creating a relaxed atmosphere for outdoor work.

达摩十园—淳茗：安静疏朗的草坪空间，展现树冠的优雅，从办公空间俯瞰，层层叠叠茶田形成独特风景，彰显在地文化的独特魅力。

10 Awareness Gardens: Tea Fragrance.

The quiet and spacious lawn area showcases the elegance of the tree canopies. Overlooking from the office space, the layers of tea plantations form a unique scenery, highlighting the distinctive allure of the local culture.

10 Awareness Gardens: Rock Ryme

The gentle slope terrain enclosed by stone retaining walls creates a mountain forest ambiance. Plants mimic the natural mountain forest landscape. The space provides bird habitats, forging a bird-watching courtyard where humans and nature interact harmoniously.

达摩十园—空谷：融合生物多样性栖息地所创造的亲自然花园，创造湿润的微环境，促进生物分解和能量流动。

10 Awareness Gardens: Reclusive Valley.

The nature-friendly garden, integrating biodiversity habitats, creates a moist microenvironment that facilitates biological decomposition and energy flow.

达摩十园—黛眸：水景引导访客至建筑前庭，迎客涌泉和潺潺流水增加空间的灵动性。

10 Awareness Gardens: Deep Gaze

The water feature guides visitors to the building's forecourt, where the welcoming gushing springs and gurgling flowing water enhance the spatial vitality.

达摩十园—绿巷：沿蜿蜒的小径游走于自然，与植物近距离接触。

10 Awareness Gardens: Green Lane.

Wander through nature along the winding path, engaging in close contact with plants.

达摩十园—植觉：既有舒适、思考交流的空间，亦有小型聚会活动，空间张弛有序，富有弹性。在自然中放松身心、舒缓压力。

10 Awareness Gardens: Meditation Woods

The space offers both comfortable areas for reflection and communication, as well as venues for small gatherings—balanced, orderly, and flexible. Visitors can relax their minds and bodies in nature, alleviating stress.

阿里巴巴南湖未来科技园景观设计，回应城市文脉延续、栖息地保护、人群亲自然需求、园区空间运营、文化叙事等诸多挑战，融合东方自然哲学和生态伦理，提供了将文化、地方美学和可持续理念高度整合的解决思路，通过丰富的、可游逛的、包容性的景观空间和花园，触发个体与自然对话的刹那。高维智慧或许是宏大的，获得智慧的修行是具体而微的，园区各不相同的自然场景为每个个体提供了各自获得证悟的法门。

The landscape design for the Alibaba Nanhu Future Science Park addresses multifaceted challenges, including urban heritage continuity, habitat conservation, human-nature connectivity, and cultural storytelling. Bridging Eastern philosophy with ecological ethics, the design weaves cultural narratives, local aesthetics, and sustainability into walkable, inclusive landscapes. These spaces generate dynamic energy fields through nature, art, and cultural symbols, sparking moments (ksana) of human-nature dialogue. While cosmic wisdom may seem vast, enlightenment unfolds through everyday practices. Each distinct natural setting offers bespoke gateways to transcendence, empowering all beings to discover their paths to awakening.
