一座教堂如何成为更广泛社区的精神锚点?这一核心问题推动了CAZA为菲律宾比南市德拉萨大学校园设计拉萨尔圣所(Santuario de La Salle)的构想。

How can a church serve as an anchor for a broader community? This central question drove the conceptualization of Santuario de La Salle, an inclusive religious space designed by CAZA for the De La Salle University campus in Biñan City, Philippines.

Nestled within a larger campus masterplan, the site presented a unique challenge: providing a quiet, sacred sanctuary amidst a bustling secular university environment.

业主希望该空间能够回应年轻一代,同时彻底重新思考传统宗教建筑的空间秩序。CAZA回应这一需求,摆脱了传统教堂类型的束缚,通过模块化建造方式与参数化设计,创造出一座极简且具有非定形特征的建筑。

The client's brief called for a space that would resonate with younger generations while completely reimagining traditional ecclesiastical spatial orders. CAZA responded by moving away from conventional church typologies, creating a radically minimalist and amorphous structure assembled through modular built solutions and shaped by parametric design.

从外部望去,圣所呈现为由多个圆形模块体量组成的神秘组合。通过参数化软件生成的韵律化外立面,由未经加工的垂直原木条构成,使庞大的建筑体量呈现出意想不到的轻盈感与通透性。这层多孔外部围护结构形成了一条半室外的环形过渡空间,让信徒在进入神圣区域之前,能够逐渐远离校园环境中的喧嚣。

Viewed from the outside, the sanctuary appears as a mysterious union of circular-shaped modular volumes. Its rhythmic outer skin, generated using parametric software, is composed of raw, unfinished vertical slats that endow the massive structure with an unexpected lightness and permeability. This porous exterior envelope functions as a semi-outdoor ambulatory transition zone, allowing worshipers to gradually shed the noise of the campus before entering the sacred areas.

随着人们深入建筑内部,材料质感也发生显著变化——由粗糙的外部肌理转向温暖的软木与闪耀的黄铜。空间布局经过精心设计,利用环形模块房间在环廊区域内相互连接,形成适用于不同礼仪功能的多样化空间节点。

As individuals penetrate deeper into the building, the materiality shifts dramatically from rough exterior textures to warm softwoods and gleaming brass. The spatial configuration is highly intentional, utilizing these circular modular rooms linked together within the ambulatory area to create varied pockets for different liturgical functions.

The deliberate placement and varying widths of the structural columns serve as architectural representations of self-discovering bodies navigating through space.

十四扇独立入口门——这一数字承载着《圣经》中的象征意义,代表着人在生命旅程中不断迷失与寻找自我的过程——引导信众进入双层高的中央核心空间。这个如鼓状般的聚会空间旨在通过建筑形式呈现从个人沉思到共同参与的转变,将独立的个体汇聚成统一整体。

Fourteen separate doors—a number imbued with biblical significance and symbolizing the mortal journey of losing and finding oneself—lead congregants into the double-height central core. This drum-like congregation space was designed to physically manifest the transition from individual reflection to communal participation, bringing separate people into a unified whole.

上方,倾斜的穹顶如同宇宙般展开,其弧线呼应月球与行星运行轨迹,在个人、神圣氛围与宇宙之间建立深层联系。轻盈悬挂的灯具如星辰般点缀天花,同时配合一条高侧窗,引发人们仰望神圣光芒的传统建筑体验。

Above, a celestial, tilted ceiling features an arc reminiscent of lunar and planetary orbits, forging a profound connection between the individual, the sacred atmosphere, and the cosmos. Weightless pendant lights dot the ceiling like stars, complemented by a long clerestory window that evokes the historical architectural experience of looking up toward divine light.

拉萨尔圣所通过强调简洁、静谧与空间内向性,成为一首献给宗教包容性的建筑颂歌。它剥离了装饰性的干扰,营造出一种朴素而谦逊的精神氛围,并将场地的文化与生态脉络自然融合。

By prioritizing simplicity, silence, and spatial interiority, Santuario de La Salle achieves a powerful impact as an architectural ode to spiritual inclusivity. It strips away ornamental distractions to foster an atmosphere of groundedness and humility, seamlessly weaving together the cultural and ecological fabric of the site.

这座教堂突破传统形式,以深具感染力的空间体验回应使用者需求,使学生与访客能够在这里连接个人信仰、宗教共同体以及周围的自然世界,并成为校园精神与空间意义上的重要锚点。

Ultimately, the church successfully transgresses tradition to offer a deeply moving user experience, anchoring the campus by allowing students and visitors alike to connect with their personal faith, their broader religious community, and the natural world around them.
