钱塘大学校园将坐落于杭州西南一块占地约475,000平方米的场地上。由RPBW负责整体设计的新校园位于钱塘江北岸葱郁起伏的山地景观之中。该地同时也是历史悠久的钱塘遗址所在地,拥有极为丰富的文化遗产,是这所大学的理想所在地。

Tsientang Campus will be situated on a 475,000 m² plot in southwest Hangzhou. RPBW has been commissioned to lead The New Campus design that is set amidst the lush, hilly landscape on the northern bank of the Tsientang River. The location is home to the historic Tsientang Ruins, which are endowed with an exceptionally rich cultural heritage, making it a fitting home for the university.

这所大学将以前沿科研为核心,致力于拓展科学在人类健康领域的边界。在科学层面,其目标是以整体性的研究方法实现“从0到1”的知识创造;而在技术层面,则着力将学术理念转化为现实应用。学校希望成为中国一种新型大学形态,推动人类创新的边界,面向未来发展,同时立足中国价值并具备全球视野。

The University will be centered on cutting-edge research with a mission to expand the boundaries of science for human health. For science, it aims to create knowledge from “zero-to-one” encompassing a holistic approach to research. Conversely, technology seeks to transform academic ideals into real-world applications. The university wants to become a new type of university in China that pushes the limits of human innovation to shape the future. It will be rooted in Chinese values and have a global reach.

项目功能经过精心组织,以支持高水平科研与充满活力的学术社区。校园被划分为两个地块:教学科研区与居住生活区。

The program is thoughtfully organized to support both advanced research and a vibrant academic community. The campus is divided into two plots: an academic plot and a residential plot.

教学科研区构成校园的学术核心,包含十栋用于实验室与办公的建筑,其首层分布有展览空间。在这一核心区域中央设置了“学术共享空间”,作为校园的动力核心与组织枢纽,是连接师生群体的重要社交与空间中心。

The academic plot forms the intellectual core of the campus and houses ten buildings dedicated to laboratories and offices, with exhibition spaces distributed throughout the ground floor. At the heart of this core is the academic commons which shapes and creates the turbine of the campus. It is the social and spatial centerpiece that connects the student and faculty bodies with each other.

 

文化与公共功能沿城市界面布置,围绕公共广场展开。这些空间包括三座附属建筑——礼堂、体育中心与图书馆,它们将校园与周边社区相连接,并向公众开放。

Cultural and public spaces are positioned along the urban edge around the public piazza. These include three additional buildings - the Auditorium, Sports Center, and Library - which anchor the project to the surrounding neighborhood and opens to the community.

 

居住生活区为使用者提供安静舒适的环境,共包含23栋建筑,融入自然景观之中,在保持私密性与居住舒适度的同时,与校园主体保持便捷联系。

The residential plot provides a quiet and comfortable environment for its inhabitants. The 23 buildings are integrated within the landscape and offer proximity to the university while maintaining a sense of privacy and comfort.

建筑在设计上采取一种细腻的策略,尊重并回应场地的自然特征。建筑高度被控制在20米以内,以低于森林冠层。整体强调通透与开放,使自然光、视线与人流在空间之间自由流动。同时,通过架空与退让首层空间,减少建筑对地面的占用,使体量仿佛漂浮于林间。

The architecture adopts a sensitive approach that celebrates and respects the site’s natural features. Buildings are limited to 20 meters in height, to ensure they fall below the forest canopy height. The design emphasizes transparency and permeability, allowing natural light, views, and movement to flow freely between spaces. Additionally, the buildings minimize their built footprint by elevating and recessing the ground floors to allow the volumes to seemingly fly among the forest.

校园被设想为一处面向未来的可持续综合体,隐于森林之中。每栋建筑均设置光伏屋顶,以提供清洁能源;集中式能源中心的配置则进一步提升整体运行效率,并增强系统的可靠性与韧性。

The campus is envisioned as a forward-looking, sustainable complex nestled within a forest. Each building will be covered with a photovoltaic roof to create clean energy. A centralized energy center allows the university to be more efficient while improving reliability and resiliency.
