设计思考

我们的业主是一对年轻夫妇，受过高等教育，有着现代都市青年的特征及生活习惯。这是一个理性的家庭，井井有条，自省，与我们在欧洲工作中接触到的年轻人相似，而这也是社会步入工业化后新一代年轻人的写照。

This is a well-educated young couple, who share the characters and lifestyle as their peers in mode cities. They are rational, well organized, and similar to the young people we met during our work in Europe, which is a portrayal of the new generation of young people after industrialization.

如何在方案中体现这一特点，设计一套宁静克制的住宅，避免过度设计，以便自主性强的业主自行安排，成为项目的主要策略。

How to present this feature in the program, and to create a quiet and restrained dwelling without over-design to allow maximum flexibility?

设计方案

功能及流线是设计的首要切入点，考虑到此套户型采光良好，各部分功能中规中矩，但空间本身并无亮点，团队曾一度提出拆除厨房围墙放大客厅区域，或放大主卧面积，然而在与业主商榷之后，依然尊重其意愿，保留了所有墙体，仅对部分房间功能进行了简单置换。

We start the design from functionality and circulation. Such decision is madeas a response to the irregular plan in domestic housings. The apartment enjoys very good natural light and the function areas are quite straight, yet the space itself is not charming. The design team once proposed to remove the kitchen wall to enlarge the living room area, or to enlarge the main bedroom area.But after consulting with the owners, we chose to respect their expectations, retained all existing walls, and simply replaced the functions of a few rooms.

基本平面确定之后，就室内氛围及色板团队进行了进一步研究。考虑到上海本身灰尘较多，零碎的物件会对后期清扫维护带来不便，而繁复的线条容易过时，因此在寻找参考案例时，体块感强、线条简练的设计成为首选。

After the basic plan was fixed, we further researched the interior atmosphere and the palette. Considering the dusty environment in Shanghai, we decided to choose simple blocks with straight lines to make it easier to clean and maintain.

同时，为了让设计更具持久性，避免落入“流行色”的消费主义圈套，团队推荐以白色、灰色、木色此类中性色为主色，并保留了原有地板，对其仅进行简单打磨并上漆翻新。清爽的地板色不但能与室外时时更迭的商业社会拉开距离，也能给予整套公寓安静，甚至类似美术馆的氛围，而这样的设定也符合户主本身特性。由于背景干净类似展厅，家具在此会显得尤为突出，因此精而简成为主要挑选策略。虽然我们挑选了不同品牌的灯具，沙发，餐桌，但其轮廓线条却有着一定相似性。而为了避免设备破坏整洁的氛围，空调或藏于柜内，或置于次要墙面，而所有皮管则均从室外绕行。

At the same time, in order to make the design more durable and to avoid it from becoming “popular” under the trap of consumerism, the architects recommended to use white, grey and wood color and keep the existing floor by simple restoration. The refreshing floor color not only distanced the space far from the outside world that is constantly changing, but also gives the entire apartment a quiet atmosphere like an art gallery. It is also in line with the characteristics of the owners themselves. The background is as clean as an exhibition hall, furniture thus become visually prominent, then the architects chose simple lights, sofa, and tables with similar outlines. Air-conditioners were hidden in the cabinets or installed on secondary walls to maintain the flat and uniformed environment of the space all tubes were installed in the exterior.

而为了让整个室内具有连贯性并在多年后看上去依然简练耐久，在装饰品的选择上团队不建议业主购买时下热门的装饰，而选择Ellsworth Kelly，Josef Albers的画作。尽管创作于七十年代，然而今来看依然克制美观。而客厅中则选用Assaf Hinden的摄影，他擅长将荒废的器物重组并赋予新的含义，也与设计概念接近。而在更细小的一些日用品上我们则建议那些视觉上具有逻辑性且与整体统一的装饰品，并将更多的室内空间留给业主自行打理。

To create a coherent and durable space, the architects convince the owners to give up popular decorations but to select paintings by Ellsworth Kelly and Josef Albers. Their works, although created in the 1970s, still look beautifully restrained. Assaf Hinden’s photography was set in the livingroom, for his reinterpretation of abandoned objects is quite relevant to the concept of the space. For daily necessities, we suggested tointroduce objects that are visually logic and go well with the space, and we also tried to leave more space to the owners to decide by themselves.

后记

项目在意料之中逐渐成型，而在完成的前三个月，业主的女儿却在意料之外出生了。她会如何看待这套公寓？而这样的环境又将带给她怎样的影响？这将是成长背景与我们完全不同的一代人，我们心中有预期，但却不得而知。多年后，时间会解答一切。

The project gradually developed as we expected, yet the owners’ baby was bo unexpectedly three month before the construction was completed. How would the baby feel about the space? And what kind of impact would it have on this baby? It will be another generation who will grow up in a completely different time. We hold both expectations and uncertainty, and time will explain everything after. Finger crossed.
