思考共享空间和美好生活：MAT Office的2017年

“2017年事务所一共做了15个项目，项目类型从城市公共建筑，到城市更新的办公、公寓改造，再到社区里一个小小的活动空间，最大的4万平方米，最小的只有12+60平方米，有一些已经完成，有一些正在进行，有一些依然悬而未决。事务所的小伙伴儿们也在一次次历练之后慢慢成长起来。最大的感触是项目不在乎大小，关键是跟对的人一起，做正确的事情。2018年事务所也会继续研究、教学和实践结合的方式，把我们对于共享空间和美好生活方式的提议呈现给大家！”

事务所介绍

MAT Office，由唐康硕和张淼于2013年创立于荷兰鹿特丹和北京的一个设计和研究公司。MAT Office主要致力于观察和思考当下城市化进程中不断涌现的问题, 并以此为基础引发对建筑设计领域可能性的探讨。

从2014年开始，MAT Office开展了对未来办公空间的研究课题“Office3.0”并积极与学校、研究机构、设计师、运营方等合作，通过大量调研、案例分析、研讨分享等方式，对办公空间的历史、类型、模型和空间形态进行了系统性的研究。 2014年到2017年，唐康硕和张淼参与到北京老旧小区的社区更新和社区设计的课题研究，并正在通过教学工作坊、研究型设计的形式推进，也展开了一系列相关设计实践。MAT Office积极参与展览、教学和文化活动的组织与设计。事务所成员曾经参与第五届深港双城双年展策展团队，以及第十五届威尼斯建筑双年展平行展的展览设计；唐康硕和张淼也以设计课教师的身份参与了中国科学院大学、中央美术学院、哈尔滨工业大学和清华大学的开放教学工作。

远洋邦舍青年路项目

Qingnianlu Youth Apartment

远洋邦舍青年路项目位于北京市朝阳区平房桥，建筑面积12000平方米，是一个共享公寓和办公的集成项目。原有建筑为办公园区中的会所，但是建成后一直闲置，建筑空间的中央是一个地下温泉泳池，16米高的中庭空间把天光带入了地下层。本项目设计要求将建筑的地上部分改造为青年公寓，地下层改造成办公空间，中庭作为公寓和办公的共享空间使用。

Qingnianlu Boonself project is located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. It is a complex of youth apartment and shared working space, with a total floor area of 12,000 square meters. The Original building function is leisure club provided for the office park, but never been used since built. There is a underground hot spring swimming pool in the centre of the building, and an attractive 16 meters-high atrium brings skylight inside. The project aims to transform the ground part into a youth apartment, and also a shared working space for the underground part.

对原有温泉泳池空间的改造就自然成为了公共空间的设计切入点，我们重新定义了“温泉泳池”的边界，并采用拼花马赛克作为“温泉泳池”的饰面材料，试图因此能够唤醒空间现状与原有功能的联系，“温泉泳池”的边界也用木材设计了座椅、台阶、树池、书架等等一系列公共元素。对“温泉泳池”及其周围空间的艺术化处理，不但可以使其承载咖啡、图书阅读、社交、路演等共享空间的使用功能，而且也能够创造一个互动、活力的青年社区公共客厅。

The transformation of the hot spring swimming pool becomes the key design idea naturally for creating the public space. After redefining the boundary, we use artistic patte mosaic for main material of the hot spring swimming pool, so as to remind its original function. Wooden material is also used for the pool’s boundary to create a series public facilities such as benches, stairs, tree pool, bookshelf etc..The artistic and functional manipulation of the hot spring swimming pool and its surrounding area, not only brings the sharing public space’s ability of cafe, book reading, social activities and mini lecture, but also be able to create a interactive and energetic youth community public space.

“温泉泳池”上方的中庭界面采用了类似建筑外立面的处理方式，半透明的白色冲孔板和落地窗的叠加产生韵律感，让中庭空间具有整体性。立面处理顺应了原有建筑空间层层出挑的特点，通过外阳台的设计产生了居住公寓和共享大厅之间的灰空间，阳台上白色六边形冲孔板的使用对于视线和噪音起到了一定的过滤作用，阳台前后两个层次的界面叠加增加了中庭立面空间的丰富性。我们尝试通过营造一个室外化，自然化，充满阳光和绿色的中庭，从而提升青年公寓的居住和休闲空间的品质。

The exteal facade design is applied to the atrium interface upon the “hot spring swimming pool”, the translucent white punching panel and the superposition of the floor window create continuous rhythm and dynamic change without losing the integrity of the atrium space. The facade design also conforms to the original overhangs characteristic structure, to create outdoor balconies in-between the inner apartments and outer atrium, white hexagonal punching panel takes the advantage of preventing sight and noise from the in and out. We hope to improve the quality of living and leisure space by creating an outdoor, natural, sunny and green atrium.

地上的公寓部分，由于现有结构柱跨制约，导致平面各个区域的开间和进深大小都不一样，给公寓户型设计带来了一定的复杂度。因此我们将公寓空间中的卫生间、厨房、卧室、起居室和生活扩展区模块化处理，并采用模块分区的方式进行公寓户型的设计。最小的户型只有最基本的卫生间模块和卧室模块，随着户型的开间和进深加大，户内模块数量逐渐增加，户内空间层次也逐渐丰富多元。

For the upper apartment, due to the constraints of the existing column structure, there are different length and depth in each area, it also brings the complexity to the standard apartment floor plan distribution. We introduce the modular idea on the elements within the apartment, such as bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, living room and extended living space. The are 5 categories with 233 rooms in total. The smallest room only has the basic module of bathroom and bedroom, while the room goes larger, the inside module grows, and gradually enriching the indoor space.

福州万创公社泊寓共享空间

Public Area of Port Apartment in Fuzhou

本项目位于福州市万创公社1号楼二层，使用面积480平方米，作为青年公寓的配套公共区使用。设计要求满足公寓的日常活动所需要的管理、会客、阅读、沙龙、健身、工作等功能。

This project is located in a youth commune in Fuzhou, with a area of 480 square meters, used as the public area of the youth apartment above. The client requires to design a space which can facilitate the daily activities of management, guest, reading, working, salon, and fitness for the residents.

我们摒弃了完全封闭式功能房间和完全敞开式大空间的设计布局，而是选择通过一段连续的曲线墙面创造出一个半围合的流动空间。半闭合的墙面把原有空间分成了内外两个部分，墙面的弯曲同时也产生了正反两个层次的口袋型功能空间。中间核心的部分作为等候、游戏娱乐、沙龙和工作区使用；而在外侧，连续的曲线墙面和空间边界处的欧松板墙面限定了一个更加明亮的区域，作为管理、阅读和健身使用。

We completely abandoned the fully enclosed rooms and the fully open large space mode, but choose to create a semi-enclosed flow space through a continuous curve wall. The semi-enclosed wall divides the area into two parts, an the curve creates several pocket-type space in both sides. The inner space is used for guest, game, salon and working; while the brighter outer area defined by the curve wall and the OSB board in the boundary, is used for management, reading and fitness.

作为连续曲线墙面材料的双层白色冲孔钢板，让墙体本身变得更加透明，窗外照射进来的光线也被墙面过滤，使得“内”和“外”的界限变得更加模糊。曲线墙面上也开启了大小不同的门窗洞口，一方面希望创造一个可以灵活穿梭的自由空间；另一方面也保证了管理区的良好视线——身在前台的工作人员可以透过门洞看到所有的使用区域，于此同时，这些重叠的洞口也可以带来丰富的空间和视觉体验。

The white double-side punching steel panel is used as the material of the continuous curve wall, for its specific quality of transparency. The sunlight will also be filtered by the porous wall, blurring the boundaries of “inside” space and “outside” space. We also open a series of doors and windows on the curve wall, in order to create a free flow in the flexible space,; on the other hand, those openness also ensure the good sight for the management area, the front desk staff can see every place through the doors and windows.At the same time, those overlapping openness also bring a interesting spatial and visual experience.
